Some people would say, oh, we're on the 24 00:02:23.440 --> 00:02:28.640 brink of a revival. I hope so, but I can guarantee you this. The kind of stuff that I'm hearing 25 00:02:29.600 --> 00:02:36.480 and what we're gonna talk about today is not in the area of revival. Now some very naive or 26 00:02:36.480 --> 00:02:42.080 ignorant Christian who doesn't know the word might say, look, isn't this great? These kids 27 00:02:42.080 --> 00:02:48.560 are so spiritual. That's not great. It's not good unless Jesus Christ is the epicenter, the 28 00:02:48.560 --> 00:02:58.960 source, the core, the focus, the origin, and the finisher of that spiritual reality. Why do I 29 00:02:58.960 --> 00:03:04.960 bring this up today? Because, and I don't mean to be funny about this. In fact, I'm dead pan 30 00:03:04.960 --> 00:03:11.680 serious about this. I think it's a really, really smart thing for you to get alone 31 00:03:12.720 --> 00:03:19.840 and watch Peter Jackson's rendering of Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. And while he was in the trenches and while 36 00:03:45.120 --> 00:03:53.760 he was in the Great War, Tolkien as a believer was having a hard time coping with the inhumane 37 00:03:53.760 --> 00:04:03.440 treatment that war brought to Europe, brought to his eyes. It challenged his faith. He challenged 38 00:04:03.440 --> 00:04:10.640 his view of what was going on. How could, here is, here is the big thrust to what eventually gave 39 00:04:10.640 --> 00:04:20.080 birth to his, his epic work, The Lord of the Rings, was how could humans do this to other humans? 40 00:04:21.040 --> 00:04:31.040 How could humans inflict this kind of torture on another human? And he was really struggling 41 00:04:31.040 --> 00:04:41.280 with that. And I do believe God gave him his insights and understandings to what we call 42 00:04:42.560 --> 00:04:46.560 The Lord of the Rings. Now, when I say Lord of the Rings, many people just take that as, 43 00:04:46.640 --> 00:04:52.640 as just the movie, you got to remember, the movie was made from his book and the series from his 44 00:04:52.640 --> 00:04:58.160 books. Okay. And so for Tolkien, he looked around and he said, there's no explanation for this, 45 00:04:58.160 --> 00:05:05.200 except for what the Bible talks about. And that is, we may be warring against each other physically 46 00:05:05.200 --> 00:05:14.000 in this battle. But I think we're playing this out in the physical realm because it's a mirror. 47 00:05:14.480 --> 00:05:21.840 It's a mirror image of what's happening in the invisible realm. And the answer to Daniel's prayer was angel, I want you to go and give this answer to 52 00:05:50.560 --> 00:05:59.440 Daniel Gabriel, go tell Daniel, here's the answer to your prayer request. And it is what is biblical demonology? Why does it matter? And so, number one 80 00:09:18.960 --> 00:09:26.880 thing is that we're hearing a lot about spirituality. Man is built to be spiritual. And it's kind of like an eight ball sayons for yourself. I think 83 00:09:44.080 --> 00:09:50.400 that's such bad news. Weegee boards, bad news. There are all kinds of things like this, bad news, 84 00:09:50.400 --> 00:09:56.720 sayonses, bad news, a tarot cards, bad news, going to a palm reader, bad news. 85 00:09:57.680 --> 00:10:03.040 Some my opinion, but all that stuff has an origin in the book of Deuteronomy. And you can start 86 00:10:03.040 --> 00:10:09.920 reading in Deuteronomy chapter 13 all the way through to chapter 18, bad news. We know that 87 00:10:09.920 --> 00:10:15.840 King Saul went and disguised himself and consulted with the witch of Endor because he wanted to know 88 00:10:15.840 --> 00:10:23.920 what he should do regarding issues of the kingdom. And God busted him on this. And why? And that's why God said in the Bible that you cannot 92 00:10:49.920 --> 00:10:58.240 suffer these types of those who practice these things to live. They must be put down. Why? Here's the big deal. We're talking about ultimately the loss of souls, the loss of 95 00:11:12.000 --> 00:11:21.040 someone's spiritual life away from Christ and inheriting spiritual death, which is that even 96 00:11:21.040 --> 00:11:29.840 that is a little bit of a confusing thing because there is no such thing as the end of spiritual life 97 00:11:30.880 --> 00:11:37.360 even for a non-believer. When we say spiritual death, we're actually talking about those who are 98 00:11:37.360 --> 00:11:44.080 in hell, those who have been deceived, those who are suffering. There are those who tend to lean or do lean into the Pentecostal group 107 00:12:40.240 --> 00:12:47.440 to the point of hyperpentecostalism regarding biblical demonology, meaning this. Everything's a demon. 108 00:12:47.680 --> 00:12:56.320 They'll meet a Christian who's having a hard time stopping the smoking of cigars. They have a demon 109 00:12:57.120 --> 00:13:04.800 of nicotine. They meet a Christian who has, they're struggling with getting 110 00:13:06.800 --> 00:13:14.000 victory over their temper. They have a demon of anger. Everything is explained away by this demon. 111 00:13:14.000 --> 00:13:21.280 You have this demon, that demon. You need to be exercised because you have this demon. Listen, 112 00:13:21.280 --> 00:13:28.720 number one, read 1 Corinthians, in fact, read both 1st and 2nd Corinthians because the 113 00:13:28.720 --> 00:13:35.440 city and the believers of Corinth were highly spiritual people, super spiritual. But because 114 00:13:35.440 --> 00:13:41.600 they didn't have any knowledge, they became hyper in their spiritual understandings. And so 115 00:13:42.160 --> 00:13:47.520 Paul writes to them and says, hey, and I'm paraphrasing, friends, obviously. Paul writes to them and 116 00:13:47.520 --> 00:13:52.480 says, listen, you guys, can you guys get calmed down a minute? I don't know what's going on. This is crazy stuff. So we need 167 00:19:00.960 --> 00:19:08.000 to have a balance and the balance is the Bible period. Let's talk about Lucifer. Lucifer was the 168 00:19:08.000 --> 00:19:15.680 name given to him by God. Lucifer. He is in the Old Testament. The angels are referred to as 169 00:19:15.680 --> 00:19:22.000 two, listen, listen, two things. They're referred to as stars. They're also referred to as 170 00:19:22.000 --> 00:19:29.040 sons of God, angels in the Old Testament, exclusively not not people, not humans in the Old 171 00:19:29.040 --> 00:19:37.200 Testament, exclusively angels are referred to as sons of God. They're also known as ministering 172 00:19:37.200 --> 00:19:44.640 spirits. They are servants of God throughout the Old and New Testament. Because we know that when the physical universe was created by Christ, that the sons of 183 00:21:03.840 --> 00:21:11.440 God sang worship to the Lord at the moment of creation. They were there. They were created before 185 00:21:17.200 --> 00:21:26.480 the physical world was created. But listen, Satan is a created angelic creature.
