I want you to put that in the red bucket. Why is this important, folks? He says to John, write the things, write down the things which you have seen. 88 00:10:04.600 --> 00:10:11.480 Well, the question is what is John seeing? Well, chapter 1 tells us that John has seen, first of all, 89 00:10:11.480 --> 00:10:19.720 that the announcement made to him is given to him by the Lord Jesus Christ, handing them down 90 00:10:19.720 --> 00:10:27.480 through an angel to John and these are the attributes or these are the descriptions of who he is. 91 00:10:28.680 --> 00:10:38.040 That he is the one that is bestowing or granting, excuse me, the blessing. It says in verse 3, 92 00:10:38.040 --> 00:10:43.720 blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, that's the book of Revelation 93 00:10:43.720 --> 00:10:49.880 and keep those things that are written in it for the time is near. I've seen that this is given by Jesus Christ 101 00:11:37.400 --> 00:11:43.320 himself. He is the Alpha in the Omega, the beginning and the end. He's the first in the last. I'm the Lord. I am over all things sovereign. And so, John, 105 00:12:09.640 --> 00:12:16.440 I want you to write these things down. Okay. Good blue bucket. John, what do you see? 106 00:12:17.320 --> 00:12:24.760 What is it that you've you've seen and what is it that you see now? That's the yellow bucket. 107 00:12:24.760 --> 00:12:32.200 And the yellow bucket is the descriptions of chapters two and three of the seven letters to the 108 00:12:32.200 --> 00:12:40.840 seven churches. John is talking about them. These are the things. If you if you went to each of those churches, it's a circuit. For example, the church of Colossi, it was it was thriving in the life. Why didn't he 126 00:14:31.160 --> 00:14:41.240 mention it? He doesn't. He says to the angel of the church in Smirna, Sardis, Philadelphia, Thayatira, 127 00:14:42.280 --> 00:14:48.360 on and on. He goes seven times, but there were so many more churches. Scholars argue if the church at Laodicea is even a saved church.
