Here is Jack Hibb's. 13 00:01:03.400 --> 00:01:06.400 Second Peter chapter 2 verse 1 says this, 14 00:01:06.400 --> 00:01:09.400 but there were also false prophets among the people. 15 00:01:09.400 --> 00:01:11.400 He's speaking about in the Old Testament age, 16 00:01:11.400 --> 00:01:16.400 even as there will be false teachers among you 17 00:01:16.400 --> 00:01:19.400 who will secretly bring in destructive. 18 00:01:19.400 --> 00:01:23.400 The word destructive, some of your Bible translations say damnable. 19 00:01:23.400 --> 00:01:25.400 Why does it say that? 20 00:01:25.400 --> 00:01:33.400 Because they are secret damnable heresies, bad doctrines that are made up by men and or by demon 21 00:01:33.400 --> 00:01:36.400 that look so real, but they're not. 22 00:01:36.400 --> 00:01:45.400 And that word destructive heresies is a word that implies that a body is systematically pulled apart 23 00:01:45.400 --> 00:01:49.400 at a peace at a time. I'm not talking about surgical. 24 00:01:49.400 --> 00:01:54.400 I'm talking about can you imagine taking a pair of pliers and grabbing somebody's fingers 25 00:01:54.400 --> 00:01:57.400 and pulling them off? That's what that word means. 26 00:01:57.400 --> 00:02:01.400 Can you imagine somebody grabbing your ear with a pair of pliers and pulling it off your head? 27 00:02:01.400 --> 00:02:04.400 That's what that word means. Do you see what destructive heresies do? 28 00:02:04.400 --> 00:02:06.400 Peter is saying watch out. 29 00:02:06.400 --> 00:02:10.400 We're going to need the discernment of the Spirit of God in the last days. 30 00:02:10.400 --> 00:02:13.400 There's always been false prophets. There's false prophets now. 31 00:02:13.400 --> 00:02:18.400 And as we see the days increasing or I should say getting shorter, they're going to be destructive heresies. 32 00:02:18.400 --> 00:02:22.400 And here's what one of the things will sound like or reveal. 33 00:02:22.400 --> 00:02:30.400 Denying even the Lord who bought them. They'll say Jesus, but they'll see as ministry as limited. 34 00:02:30.400 --> 00:02:35.400 Somehow not enough. That's destructive. 35 00:02:35.400 --> 00:02:42.400 And it says that they'll deny the Lord who bought them and bring on themselves swift destruction. 36 00:02:42.400 --> 00:02:49.400 Now that's an interesting word. It means like right now for example, they are under God's judgment. 37 00:02:49.400 --> 00:02:54.400 But the judgment hasn't fallen. The word swift means when it falls it's going to go like an axe. 38 00:02:54.400 --> 00:02:58.400 So you might know some false teachers. I mean, you can turn them on TV. 39 00:02:58.400 --> 00:03:03.400 And you wonder why are they still in business? God, why don't you do something? 40 00:03:03.400 --> 00:03:07.400 And God is saying read my book. I'm doing something right now. 41 00:03:07.400 --> 00:03:11.400 Every day they wake up and they don't turn to me. They get worse and worse. 42 00:03:11.400 --> 00:03:15.400 They're storing up for themselves wrath in the day of wrath. 43 00:03:15.400 --> 00:03:18.400 Wow. God does not take false ministry lightly. 44 00:03:18.400 --> 00:03:25.400 And many will follow their destructive ways because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 45 00:03:25.400 --> 00:03:30.400 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words. 46 00:03:30.400 --> 00:03:37.400 You're going to need discernment to look beyond those deceptive words because everything's going to sound right. 47 00:03:37.400 --> 00:03:40.400 Everything's going to sound just perfect. 48 00:03:40.400 --> 00:03:45.400 And for a long time their judgment has been idle and their destruction does not slumber. 49 00:03:45.400 --> 00:03:47.400 Next passage, that's powerful, isn't it? 50 00:03:47.400 --> 00:03:51.400 Next passage, 1 Timothy 4 verse 1. 51 00:03:51.400 --> 00:03:54.400 Now the spirit, capital S, so it's the Holy Spirit. 52 00:03:54.400 --> 00:04:00.400 Now the spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith. 53 00:04:00.400 --> 00:04:07.400 In other words, the later we get into the hour or the further down the calendar we go, 54 00:04:07.400 --> 00:04:14.400 you're going to know more people who you thought were believers depart from the faith. 55 00:04:14.400 --> 00:04:18.400 Why? Because they're not really believers. What are they going to do? 56 00:04:18.400 --> 00:04:23.400 They're going to give heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. 57 00:04:23.400 --> 00:04:29.400 Why? What do those do? They speak lies and hypocrisy. 58 00:04:29.400 --> 00:04:33.400 The things that our nation, in fact our world is going through right now, I believe, 59 00:04:33.400 --> 00:04:40.400 is none other than deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. 60 00:04:40.400 --> 00:04:47.400 Just about three weeks ago I was on a digital print media of some news organization. 61 00:04:47.400 --> 00:04:52.400 I'm not even going to give you their name. I don't want you to give them any, what's the word? 62 00:04:52.400 --> 00:04:56.400 Viewership. Let them go out of business. 63 00:04:56.400 --> 00:05:08.400 And they said, Southern California pastor says that the gender issue in the world today is a demonic influence. 64 00:05:08.400 --> 00:05:14.400 Yes, I did say that. Why? Because the Bible says confusion is not from God. 65 00:05:14.400 --> 00:05:17.400 And I believe it's doctrines of demons. 66 00:05:17.400 --> 00:05:22.400 And that's why I listen so many children today are being manipulated by people that they trust. 67 00:05:22.400 --> 00:05:26.400 That's doctrines of demons. Now that, listen, I'm not talking about the human. 68 00:05:26.400 --> 00:05:30.400 I'm not talking about the person that might be perpetrating. That's bad enough. 69 00:05:30.400 --> 00:05:34.400 I'm talking about the invisible powers behind them. 70 00:05:34.400 --> 00:05:40.400 Look at global governments. It seems as though they're promoting doctrines of demons. 71 00:05:40.400 --> 00:05:45.400 Blinding, lying spirits to deceive and to manipulate. 72 00:05:45.400 --> 00:05:50.400 See, Jack, you actually believe in that stuff? Jesus did, so I'm good with it also. 73 00:05:50.400 --> 00:05:59.400 Absolutely yes. And the latter times, as the days get lengthening, as the shadows get longer and the time, 74 00:05:59.400 --> 00:06:03.400 time as it were, the sun begins to set and we're at the end of the church age. 75 00:06:03.400 --> 00:06:06.400 Many will depart from the faith and there's going to be these doctrines of demons. 76 00:06:06.400 --> 00:06:11.400 And then 1 John 4 verse 1 says this, that beloved do not believe every spirit. 77 00:06:11.400 --> 00:06:15.400 Don't listen to everybody who's talking to you. Notice it's capital S. 78 00:06:15.400 --> 00:06:22.400 That's safely, you can say that's a human spirit talking to you, a human spirit. 79 00:06:22.400 --> 00:06:27.400 It's the inside of them, but you don't know what's inside of them. 80 00:06:27.400 --> 00:06:32.400 So who's doing the talking here? Well, listen, beloved do not believe every spirit. 81 00:06:32.400 --> 00:06:36.400 Don't believe everything people say to you. 82 00:06:36.400 --> 00:06:40.400 Acts 17-11 says, don't believe a word I'm saying to you. 83 00:06:40.400 --> 00:06:43.400 How's that? You're supposed to test it. 84 00:06:43.400 --> 00:06:49.400 But test the spirits whether they are of God. How do I do that? You got to know the Bible. 85 00:06:49.400 --> 00:06:52.400 You got to know the Bible and then you'll know. 86 00:06:52.400 --> 00:06:58.400 And verse 10 it says, and if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin. 87 00:06:58.400 --> 00:07:01.400 He's making a statement of fact here. 88 00:07:01.400 --> 00:07:04.400 So in fact, watch real carefully. I'm going to read it wrong. 89 00:07:04.400 --> 00:07:07.400 Are you ready? Look at your Bibles. I'm going to read it wrong. 90 00:07:07.400 --> 00:07:14.400 Stay with me. And if Christ is in you, the spirit is life because of righteousness. 91 00:07:14.400 --> 00:07:17.400 Now what I just said is exactly true, but I read it wrong. 92 00:07:17.400 --> 00:07:22.400 Did you hear me? What did I miss out? The body part. 93 00:07:22.400 --> 00:07:25.400 You missed the body part. That's exactly correct. 94 00:07:25.400 --> 00:07:29.400 I left out the body part. So let me look at it again. 95 00:07:29.400 --> 00:07:35.400 And if, look at your Bible carefully, some of the words in your Bible will have the word since. 96 00:07:35.400 --> 00:07:40.400 That's a good translation. The word if doesn't mean maybe you're saved and maybe you're not. 97 00:07:40.400 --> 00:07:44.400 Nope. It's being written to believers that are saved. 98 00:07:44.400 --> 00:07:48.400 The if is not bringing your relationship to Christ in question. 99 00:07:48.400 --> 00:07:53.400 It is a setup which is why some of your Bibles use the word since. 100 00:07:53.400 --> 00:08:01.400 And since Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin. 101 00:08:01.400 --> 00:08:06.400 Now what do we say by this? We know this. That the spirit brings life. 102 00:08:06.400 --> 00:08:10.400 I never knew what the Bible said before I was a Christian. 103 00:08:10.400 --> 00:08:16.400 I didn't know and I didn't care. But God began to get my attention. 104 00:08:16.400 --> 00:08:22.400 And then I first woke up like you did to the fact that there's a part of me that wants to follow God. 105 00:08:22.400 --> 00:08:26.400 And both of those things at the beginning were very weak. 106 00:08:26.400 --> 00:08:29.400 Can I put it that way? Very weak. I say very weak. 107 00:08:29.400 --> 00:08:36.400 My flesh was very strong. My new relationship with God was very new and very weak. 108 00:08:36.400 --> 00:08:41.400 But the more I ate of the word, the stronger I got. Are you with me? 109 00:08:41.400 --> 00:08:47.400 The stronger I got, my body didn't, my body epitites did not go away. 110 00:08:47.400 --> 00:08:52.400 They became more and more controllable by the power of God's word. 111 00:08:52.400 --> 00:08:57.400 In other words, I could tell so to speak my flesh go to your room. 112 00:08:57.400 --> 00:09:05.400 When before, it would tell me exactly what it wanted, when it wanted, how it wanted and what time. 113 00:09:05.400 --> 00:09:11.400 And I was a slave to those epitites. And so were you. 114 00:09:11.400 --> 00:09:18.400 But we're talking about the believer. So the first thing that we realize here is that the spirit of God is the one who seeks to control you. 115 00:09:18.400 --> 00:09:25.400 And that shouldn't threaten you. He wants to control you. Why? You and I need controlling. 116 00:09:25.400 --> 00:09:36.400 And either I'm doing it for me or you're doing it for you. Or maybe even worse than that is somebody else doing that to you. 117 00:09:36.400 --> 00:09:42.400 You ever think about the Bible teaches absolute independence and independence and freedom. 118 00:09:42.400 --> 00:09:48.400 The only thing is it comes with great responsibility, my friend. 119 00:09:48.400 --> 00:09:56.400 So the question is, since Christ is in you, here the believers in Rome are hearing it as a matter of fact. 120 00:09:56.400 --> 00:10:02.400 But we ought to ask ourselves, can I know for sure that the indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit 121 00:10:02.400 --> 00:10:09.400 is at work in my life? And I wrote down four things. This means a lot to me. I don't know if it does to you. 122 00:10:09.400 --> 00:10:15.400 But this is what I wrote down to myself. Number one, if all this is true, if I'm in Christ and Christ is in me, 123 00:10:15.400 --> 00:10:25.400 and I'm a new creation in Jesus, and I'm a true follower of Jesus, then this is what I've discovered is that I'm no longer my own. 124 00:10:25.400 --> 00:10:40.400 And I'm very happy about that. I'm no longer my own. You ask yourself today, believer, do you understand and do you revel in the fact that God now controls you? You're no longer your own. 125 00:10:40.400 --> 00:10:48.400 It's part of being a disciple. It's very basic. But being in the family of God, I'm no longer my own. And I love that. 126 00:10:48.400 --> 00:10:55.400 Second thing I wrote down, again, this is just for me, that I'm no longer under the law of God because now God's grace empowers me. 127 00:10:55.400 --> 00:11:03.400 See, what do you mean by that? God's law is awesome. But when I look at it, I want to run from it because it's perfect that I'm not. 128 00:11:03.400 --> 00:11:13.400 But when Christ saves, God writes His law on your heart. He puts it in your mind. You don't have to make yourself be a Christian. 129 00:11:13.400 --> 00:11:26.400 The Spirit of God does this. He's the one that, by His grace, begins to empower you. Thirdly, you're no longer subject to fear. This is a big one. 130 00:11:26.400 --> 00:11:34.400 I know for me personally, this happened to me in my first few hours of being a Christian. I just remember a situation where I was living. 131 00:11:34.400 --> 00:11:46.400 I went home from church that night after being born again. And I no longer had the situation of fear that had been there all my life. 132 00:11:46.400 --> 00:11:55.400 And I thank God right now. There's been His goodness in my life where fear has just never been a factor ever since. 133 00:11:55.400 --> 00:12:06.400 Sometimes there's what the Bible calls strongholds and God breaks those down. And I tell you what, if He can break down one stronghold, then I'm sure He's delighted to break down all of them in our lives. 134 00:12:06.400 --> 00:12:15.400 You don't need to be fearful anymore of anything. You don't know who I'm married to or you don't know our situation or you don't know the company or you don't know what's going on. 135 00:12:15.400 --> 00:12:27.400 Listen, I don't need to know. The fact of the matter is there is no justification for you to degrade yourself down, being creating an image of God to be fearful. 136 00:12:27.400 --> 00:12:40.400 God says no way. He has your life. The fourth and final thing on this is that I'm no longer of this world. And this is increasing, by the way, this sense, this knowledge. 137 00:12:40.400 --> 00:12:51.400 Hope you feel the same way. This world, now it's like week by week. It used to be decade by decade, then some years by some years, and then it was year by year, and month by month. 138 00:12:51.400 --> 00:13:03.400 Now it's like week by week, where this world, happily the Bible announces you and I are not out of this world. And you sense it. 139 00:13:04.400 --> 00:13:14.400 And it's amazing. The increasing awareness we have as believers of, I'll just call separation. Listen, for the Christian, there's no such thing as separation anxiety. 140 00:13:14.400 --> 00:13:27.400 There's separation desire. I'm here right now. I'm wearing clothes right now. I'm in the skin right now. I haven't been breathing air right now, but I'm not experiencing separation anxiety. 141 00:13:27.400 --> 00:13:45.400 I want separation. Say, what do you mean? I want to see Christ. I want to go to heaven. I want his promises to be fulfilled in me. What he's got for me is better than anything I could ever plan for myself. 142 00:13:45.400 --> 00:14:04.400 Now I don't know about this sub. This in life, how this illustration might work, but I've been watching some news, and I was going down a course on this AI stuff that's happening, and you talk about month to week today. 143 00:14:05.400 --> 00:14:25.400 Listen to this. As you and I sit here, the new surrounding man's development of AI, artificial intelligence is advancing so quickly that now just one week passing from our last time together shows the exponential growth in AI information and development that is of great concern. 144 00:14:25.400 --> 00:14:34.400 Elon Musk has been blowing the whistle on stop it. We need to stop. He's asking nations of the world to stop all of this engineering, especially Google. 145 00:14:34.400 --> 00:14:43.400 He tried to meet with his friend that operates Google, and he said, now they're no longer friends. The guy basically said, get out of here. I'm going forward on this. 146 00:14:43.400 --> 00:14:55.400 Elon Musk began this last week. He was telling us where it's heading. I'm going to tell you I was listening to him talk to Jordan Peterson, and I had a hard time believing what he was saying. 147 00:14:56.400 --> 00:15:08.400 Is he going to be kidding me? That now AI devices have conspired with one another, and they have created things without human involvement. 148 00:15:09.400 --> 00:15:28.400 And I don't understand what he meant by this. It's kind of freaky. I want to know it. Elon Musk said to a response, the question was, can't you just unplug the thing and it'd it'd die? And he said, maybe I don't like that maybe parts. 149 00:15:28.400 --> 00:15:44.400 What are we doing? Listen, it's so bizarre. Our world will reject the existence of God, but it will create a device that now we run the risk of being overtaken by the device. It knows more than you do. 150 00:15:44.400 --> 00:16:05.400 You're not connected to the web. It does math. It does music. It writes books. It can do a song. It can conduct or author the most incredible discipline. And you can't do that. And it can do it and it can do it all. 151 00:16:05.400 --> 00:16:19.400 And now the great engineers of our world are concerned. And they're talking about what happens when the first rogue military gets a hold of an AI unit that is able to control satellites and trajectories. 152 00:16:19.400 --> 00:16:41.400 And, wow, think of that. And of course they went down the path of elections. And the conclusion was when AI, within three years, there may possibly not be elections because if AI gets introduced, AI will create the leaders that it wants. 153 00:16:41.400 --> 00:17:01.400 And you won't know if it's true or not. You won't know what it's doing is true or not. If that's happening in this world where man has created something that he's fearful of, listen, God, listen, God didn't create man and he's fearful of man. God created man with the ability of choice. Man chose the wrong thing. 154 00:17:01.400 --> 00:17:16.400 We are not artificial intelligence. We are the extension of the intelligence, but he gave us a free will. And what's amazing about that is our free will has to do with will we bow our heart and our lives to God or not? 155 00:17:16.400 --> 00:17:23.400 Well, we love him or not. But the Bible tells us if Christ is in you, well, there's a complete transformation. 156 00:17:23.400 --> 00:17:33.400 1 Corinthians 10, verse 18 says this. 1 Corinthians 10, 18. This is pretty wild. Listen up everybody. I want to remind you this is 2000 years old. 157 00:17:33.400 --> 00:17:42.400 Observe Israel after the flesh. Are not those who eat of the sacrifices, partakers of the altar? Yes. 158 00:17:42.400 --> 00:17:56.400 What I'm saying then, what am I saying then that an idol is anything or what is offered to idols? Is anything so stop right there an idol? So you think today, by the way, anything the Bible says don't make things, don't carve things out of any wood or metal or stone of that which is God said don't make that stuff. 160 00:18:20.400 --> 00:18:39.400 Now you say, well, that's kind of weird. Okay, maybe we don't know everything. You say, are you talking like Saint Bernard, like a statue? Yeah, it's exactly what I'm talking about. So why is that a problem? 161 00:18:39.400 --> 00:18:56.400 He said, verse 20, rather that the things which the unbelievers sacrifice to, they sacrifice to demons and not to God and do not want you, I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. 162 00:18:56.400 --> 00:19:18.400 Can you imagine the Corinthians with us and what, what can you imagine? We're the 21st century, we're very smart people, we would never do that thing. Nobody walks around the statue. Well, listen, what if an AI thing got possessed by a demonic spirit? If statues can be demonic, if a little carved image can be demonically possessed, could you what if an AI thing got possessed? 163 00:19:18.400 --> 00:19:47.400 What if an AI thing started saying and doing things? You say that would never happen. Well, you got to talk to Elon Musk. Pretty weird, isn't it? God says watch out, idols, you think it's innocent, you think it's nothing? He says you're communicating with demons. Get away from that, watch out for that. Thus we need discernment. It's Christ in you.
