Colossians 1 verse 16, profound statement. Jesus Christ is the author 66 00:07:47.160 --> 00:07:56.680 of angels and their hierarchy, their realm, the realm of the angels. The next thing that we're going to take a peek at is regarding the good angels. 84 00:10:10.040 --> 00:10:20.200 In Genesis chapter 19, verse 1, the Bible says, now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening 85 00:10:20.200 --> 00:10:29.000 and Lot, that is Abraham's nephew, was sitting in the gate of Sodom when Lot saw them. Lot saw 86 00:10:29.240 --> 00:10:39.800 these two angels. Lot saw them with his natural eyes. He rose to meet them and he bowed himself 87 00:10:39.800 --> 00:10:46.920 with his face toward the ground. And he said, here now, my lords, please turn into your servant's 88 00:10:46.920 --> 00:10:54.760 house and spend the night and wash your feet. Then you may rise early and go on your way. He just knew that they were visitors. They were not from this 91 00:11:09.400 --> 00:11:16.040 here parts. They were different, maybe in their apparel. It could be that they were different in 92 00:11:16.120 --> 00:11:29.000 their skin, tone or look, but Lot saw these two angels, but watch out because the inhabitants of 93 00:11:29.000 --> 00:11:36.120 Sodom and Gomorrah, they're going to think they're men and they are going to think that they can 94 00:11:37.240 --> 00:11:45.160 deal with them as men. Lot somehow discerns, or maybe the Lord speaks to them and tells them, 95 00:11:45.160 --> 00:11:52.200 or maybe they tell him, hey, I know we look like visitors from some other kingdom or realm or 96 00:11:52.200 --> 00:11:58.520 some other country, but truth is we're angels. Well, in short order, as you read Genesis 19, Lot's 97 00:11:58.520 --> 00:12:04.680 going to find out what kind of power these guys have, but those are good angels. The angel of the Lord, you'll see it in your Bible capitalized. Verse 5 says, let them praise the name of the Lord for he commanded, and they were 110 00:13:38.120 --> 00:13:44.920 created. Wow, those are good angels. Those are great angels. Wonderful, amazing. Hebrews, 111 00:13:44.920 --> 00:13:53.320 chapter 1, verses 6 and 7, tells us, but when he, again, brings the first born into the world, 112 00:13:53.400 --> 00:14:02.120 he says, let all the angels of God worship him. That is a reference to Jesus. When he brings Jesus 113 00:14:02.120 --> 00:14:09.720 Christ, he, God, brings Christ into the world as the incarnate Christ in flesh. 114 00:14:10.920 --> 00:14:15.560 There, the Scripture says, let all the angels worship him. Verse 7 and the angels, he says, 115 00:14:15.560 --> 00:14:24.360 who makes his angel's spirits and his ministers a flame of fire. So angels serve the will of God. 116 00:14:25.000 --> 00:14:34.440 Good angels serve the very will of God. So do keep that in mind.
