we're all born into sin. 145 00:06:31.000 --> 00:06:34.100 We like to compare ourselves to the worst person we know 146 00:06:34.100 --> 00:06:36.300 and kind of make ourselves feel better. 147 it to torture Christians. 183 00:08:07.600 --> 00:08:15.600 And I've just seen something in years of ministry 184 00:08:15.600 --> 00:08:18.600 that there are actually a lot of Christians 185 00:08:18.600 --> 00:08:20.600 who are tortured by this verse. 186 00:08:20.600 --> 00:08:22.600 Like too many. 187 00:08:22.600 --> 00:08:25.600 And the one doing the torturing is Satan, 188 00:08:25.600 --> 00:08:27.600 whispering to them that they have committed 189 00:08:27.600 --> 00:08:30.600 the unpardonable sin, that they're beyond redemption. 190 00:08:31.600 --> 00:08:36.200 When I first became a Christian for the first like 10 years, 191 00:08:36.200 --> 00:08:38.600 I did a lot of homeless ministry, 192 00:08:38.600 --> 00:08:42.300 partly because I'm a very, very compassionate person, 193 00:08:42.300 --> 00:08:44.800 but mainly because no one else would listen to me. 194 00:08:44.800 --> 00:08:47.800 And I had a captive audience. 195 00:08:47.800 --> 00:08:51.000 Me and my friends, we get sandwich bags, 196 00:08:51.000 --> 00:08:52.500 little juice things, 197 00:08:52.500 --> 00:08:54.900 and at least I got five minutes with you. 198 insane amount, 201 00:09:02.000 --> 00:09:05.100 a disproportionate amount of people I would encounter 202 00:09:05.100 --> 00:09:08.300 thought they were guilty of the unpardonable sin. 203 00:09:09.300 --> 00:09:11.000 And I was out seeing that. 204 00:09:11.000 --> 00:09:13.900 I read the story, another minister, he was writing 205 00:09:13.900 --> 00:09:16.900 and he said, in mental asylum, 206 00:09:16.900 --> 00:09:20.300 there's actually a disproportionate amount of people 207 00:09:20.300 --> 00:09:23.300 who believe they've committed this sin. 208 00:09:24.100 --> 00:09:28.900 Because all of your sins have been forgiven, right? 209 00:09:28.900 --> 00:09:30.600 But if you don't understand this verse, 210 00:09:30.600 --> 00:09:33.100 it leaves the door open,
