Jesus has come and His wife, who's His wife? 17 00:01:27.960 --> 00:01:32.960 The church. His wife has made herself ready. 18 00:01:32.960 --> 00:01:42.960 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in, mark it down, fine linen, clean and bright. 19 00:01:42.960 --> 00:01:46.960 Listen, Old Testament saints, they get a white robe, the Bible tells us. 20 00:01:46.960 --> 00:01:52.960 The tribulation saints during the seven-year tribulation period that's yet coming, they get white robes. 21 00:01:52.960 --> 00:01:57.960 There's only one group of God's saints who get fine linen, clean and bright. 22 00:01:57.960 --> 00:02:01.960 It's the church, the bride of Christ, the wife of the Lamb. 23 00:02:01.960 --> 00:02:05.960 That's pretty fun stuff. That's pretty cool. Watch this. 24 00:02:05.960 --> 00:02:07.960 She's made herself ready, verse 8. 25 00:02:07.960 --> 00:02:11.960 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright. 26 00:02:11.960 --> 00:02:14.960 For the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints, verse 9. 27 00:02:14.960 --> 00:02:20.960 Then he said to me, right, blessed are those who are called to the marriage suffer of the Lamb. 28 00:02:20.960 --> 00:02:27.960 These are going to be the Old Testament saints. These are going to be the tribulation saints. 29 00:02:27.960 --> 00:02:35.960 Right now the Bible says, Jesus is preparing for us a house for His bride. 30 00:02:35.960 --> 00:02:41.960 It's been 2,000 years, and he's a carpenter. It's going to be amazing. 31 00:02:42.960 --> 00:02:49.960 The Bible here says, and he said to me, these are the faithful truths, these are the true saints of God, next verse. 32 00:02:49.960 --> 00:02:53.960 And I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, see that you did not do that. 33 00:02:53.960 --> 00:02:57.960 I am your fellow servant and of your brother and who have the testimony of Jesus. 34 00:02:57.960 --> 00:03:04.960 This is a guy that's been, we don't know who he is, but he's been redeemed with us as well. 35 00:03:05.960 --> 00:03:09.960 Worship God for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. 36 00:03:09.960 --> 00:03:19.960 John says, now I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse, and he used that on him was called faithful and true. 37 00:03:19.960 --> 00:03:24.960 And in righteousness he judges and makes war. 38 00:03:24.960 --> 00:03:34.960 You mean like the fierceness of the wrath, the rope that is stained or watched? 147 00:09:10.960 --> 00:09:14.960 The Jew and the Gentile in Christ are one. 148 00:09:14.960 --> 00:09:17.960 That's exclusive. 149 00:09:17.960 --> 00:09:19.960 Number five, we're going to go quick. 150 00:09:19.960 --> 00:09:23.960 Verses 26 to 27 is the evidence that has gone out 151 00:09:23.960 --> 00:09:26.960 about God's good, good sovereignty. 152 00:09:26.960 --> 00:09:29.960 And the first thing is, as we mentioned earlier, 153 00:09:29.960 --> 00:09:33.960 look at this, evidence of His invitation, verse 25. 154 00:09:33.960 --> 00:09:36.960 And He says also, in Hosea, the prophet Hosea, 155 00:09:36.960 --> 00:09:40.960 I will call them my people who were not my people 156 00:09:40.960 --> 00:09:43.960 and her beloved, who was not beloved. 157 00:09:43.960 --> 00:09:45.960 What does this mean? 158 00:09:45.960 --> 00:09:47.960 Let me tell you, and then we'll move on. 159 00:09:47.960 --> 00:09:49.960 It's beautiful. 160 00:09:49.960 --> 00:09:52.960 God is speaking through the prophet Hosea to the Jewish people, 161 00:09:52.960 --> 00:09:54.960 and he's saying, you're my people, 162 00:09:54.960 --> 00:09:57.960 and then when they rebel, he said, you're not my people. 163 00:09:57.960 --> 00:10:01.960 And then when they repented, he said, you're my people. 164 00:10:01.960 --> 00:10:04.960 Listen, logic, course, one-on-one. 165 00:10:04.960 --> 00:10:08.960 If he says to them initially, you are my people, 166 00:10:08.960 --> 00:10:10.960 and then says to them later, you're not my people, 167 00:10:10.960 --> 00:10:14.960 and then to the same people, he said, you're not, you are my people. 168 00:10:14.960 --> 00:10:19.960 Then we wind up learning something about the full counsel of God. 169 00:10:19.960 --> 00:10:24.960 God chose Israel and the Jews to be His people. 170 00:10:24.960 --> 00:10:27.960 And He says to them, I have these everlasting promises 171 00:10:27.960 --> 00:10:28.960 that I've given. 172 00:10:28.960 --> 00:10:32.960 But when you don't walk with me, you're not my people. 173 00:10:32.960 --> 00:10:34.960 My people walk this way. 174 00:10:34.960 --> 00:10:38.960 When you rebel and go the other way, just want you to know, 175 00:10:38.960 --> 00:10:39.960 you're not my people. 176 00:10:39.960 --> 00:10:47.960 They are His people, because He's going to have them experience a return. 177 00:10:47.960 --> 00:10:51.960 But He's basically saying what you say in a family. 178 00:10:51.960 --> 00:10:56.960 Listen, you're acting like you belong to this family. 179 00:10:56.960 --> 00:10:57.960 What's wrong with you? 180 00:10:57.960 --> 00:10:59.960 Now, does the kid belong to the family? 181 00:10:59.960 --> 00:11:00.960 Yes. 182 00:11:00.960 --> 00:11:02.960 Is he acting like he belongs to the family? 183 00:11:02.960 --> 00:11:04.960 No. 184 00:11:04.960 --> 00:11:06.960 This is a promise of God. 185 00:11:06.960 --> 00:11:08.960 He's not changing his mind. 186 00:11:08.960 --> 00:11:13.960 He's basically saying this, when you walk with me, I'll bless you. 187 00:11:13.960 --> 00:11:16.960 When you walk away from me, I'm not going to bless you. 188 00:11:16.960 --> 00:11:21.960 And that's true, by the way, for the Jewish believer and the Gentile believer. 189 00:11:21.960 --> 00:11:23.960 Nonetheless, true. 190 00:11:23.960 --> 00:11:29.960 And then this goes on, verses 25 to 26, the evidence of His generosity. 191 00:11:29.960 --> 00:11:34.960 I will call them my people who were not my people and her beloved, 192 00:11:34.960 --> 00:11:40.960 who was not beloved, and it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, 193 00:11:40.960 --> 00:11:45.960 you are not my people, there they shall be called the sons of the living God. 194 00:11:45.960 --> 00:11:46.960 Look at that. 195 00:11:46.960 --> 00:11:55.960 Quoting, Hosea and Book of Romans speaking about both areas or both peoples to be saved. 196 00:11:55.960 --> 00:12:01.960 The Gentile world and the Jewish world, the epicenterist Christ. 197 00:12:01.960 --> 00:12:06.960 I'll save the Jew, he says, and I'll save the Gentile. 198 00:12:06.960 --> 00:12:10.960 Jew, turn around, walk with me in obedience to my word, believe on me. 199 00:12:10.960 --> 00:12:12.960 Gentile, you never had a God. 200 00:12:12.960 --> 00:12:16.960 You've never worshiped me, and I'm calling you to come and be my people also. 201 00:12:16.960 --> 00:12:22.960 And it's beautiful, he says, I'll call you sons of God, children of God. 202 00:12:22.960 --> 00:12:26.960 What an amazing God we have. 203 00:12:26.960 --> 00:12:27.960 Tremendous. 204 00:12:27.960 --> 00:12:30.960 Here we end with this. 205 00:12:30.960 --> 00:12:40.960 Number six is verses 27 to 28, and that is his gathering, a gathering of a people for himself. 206 00:12:40.960 --> 00:12:45.960 Verse 27 says this, that he has been gathering, this to me is kind of fun. 207 00:12:45.960 --> 00:12:50.960 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel, though the number of the children of Israel 208 00:12:50.960 --> 00:12:55.960 be as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be saved. 209 00:12:55.960 --> 00:12:59.960 A small amount of them will turn to me. 210 00:12:59.960 --> 00:13:05.960 It's going to happen, it's not a lot, but God says it's going to happen. 211 00:13:05.960 --> 00:13:11.960 Gathering to himself of people, he always has been gathering himself of people. 212 00:13:11.960 --> 00:13:16.960 Instead of what I said earlier, Adam and Eve being thrown in the trashy, 213 00:13:16.960 --> 00:13:20.960 did he not start to gather people by redeeming them? 214 00:13:20.960 --> 00:13:23.960 By offering up an animal, he did. 215 00:13:23.960 --> 00:13:28.960 The second thing is this, is he not gathering now? 216 00:13:28.960 --> 00:13:31.960 That's gathering people now. 217 00:13:31.960 --> 00:13:34.960 He's extending the offer of salvation today. 218 00:13:34.960 --> 00:13:36.960 He always has been. 219 00:13:36.960 --> 00:13:42.960 He is today when the Bible says in verse 28, this is a remarkable verse. 220 00:13:42.960 --> 00:13:46.960 For he will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness. 221 00:13:46.960 --> 00:13:47.960 What does that mean? 222 00:13:47.960 --> 00:13:53.960 That means he's going to finish it in righteousness, but it's going to be a short work. 223 00:13:53.960 --> 00:13:57.960 Something's going to happen that it's going to bring it to its rapid conclusion 224 00:13:57.960 --> 00:14:00.960 because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth. 225 00:14:00.960 --> 00:14:07.960 I know it sounds crazy, but you and I have been here 2,000 years after the cross. 226 00:14:07.960 --> 00:14:11.960 Several thousand years before the cross. 227 00:14:11.960 --> 00:14:15.960 For thousands of years, since Adam and Eve has fallen 228 00:14:15.960 --> 00:14:18.960 and God says I'm going to do a short work on the earth, 229 00:14:18.960 --> 00:14:20.960 friends cheer up. 230 00:14:20.960 --> 00:14:22.960 What does the Bible say? 231 00:14:22.960 --> 00:14:26.960 A thousand years with God is as though it's one day. 232 00:14:26.960 --> 00:14:29.960 Right now, you and I are like, oh man, come on! 233 00:14:29.960 --> 00:14:33.960 It's driving crazy! 234 00:14:33.960 --> 00:14:35.960 Put that up against eternity. 235 00:14:35.960 --> 00:14:38.960 Friends, were you and I are going and Christ Jesus?
