You do not know what's real. 26 00:02:26.200 --> 00:02:29.200 That's why I'll stick with the Bible. 27 00:02:29.200 --> 00:02:33.200 I'll stick with the book of God that's thousands and thousands of years old. 28 00:02:33.200 --> 00:02:37.200 People have come and gone trying to disprove it every time they attack it. 29 00:02:37.200 --> 00:02:41.200 It just stands shinier, brighter and bigger. 30 00:02:41.200 --> 00:02:44.200 God's truth is not going anywhere. 31 00:02:44.200 --> 00:02:51.200 Number two, Jesus Christ came shining light, shining light, illumination, understanding. 32 00:02:51.200 --> 00:03:00.200 And first John, chapter 1, verse 7, first John 1, 7, the Bible says if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, you know, God dwells in the light. 33 00:03:00.200 --> 00:03:02.200 He is light. 34 00:03:02.200 --> 00:03:06.200 But the Bible says if we walk in the light, that is we walk in the presence of God. 35 00:03:06.200 --> 00:03:09.200 You can do that today. You never have to be alone again. 36 00:03:09.200 --> 00:03:16.200 We have fellowship one with another that says brothers and sisters and listen to the act of. 37 00:03:16.200 --> 00:03:19.200 This is in the act of tense. This is amazing. 38 00:03:19.200 --> 00:03:21.200 You walk with God. This is what happens. 39 00:03:21.200 --> 00:03:25.200 Louis blood of Jesus Christ, his son cleanses us from all sin. 40 00:03:25.200 --> 00:03:29.200 Watch how this happens. Jesus died in the cross for our sins. 41 00:03:29.200 --> 00:03:33.200 The Bible says he washed away our sins at the cross. 42 00:03:33.200 --> 00:03:36.200 All of mankind's sins. Watch this. 43 00:03:36.200 --> 00:03:39.200 We're done away in Christ. You said, well wait a minute. 44 00:03:39.200 --> 00:03:41.200 Then why do I need to accept Christ? 45 00:03:41.200 --> 00:03:51.200 Because he paid for those sins at the cross, but his account, there's no transfer of funds, so to speak, into your account, unless you accept him. 46 00:03:51.200 --> 00:03:54.200 Do you understand that? He paid for it all. 47 00:03:54.200 --> 00:04:02.200 But you don't get the benefit from that unless you ask him to transfer from his account, his righteousness, into your account. 48 00:04:02.200 --> 00:04:06.200 And that comes by asking him to save you. 49 00:04:06.200 --> 00:04:11.200 That you believe you are a sinner and that Christ died for you personally and that he wants to save you. 50 00:04:11.200 --> 00:04:16.200 And you acknowledge that and he transfers his righteousness over to your account. 51 00:04:16.200 --> 00:04:20.200 If we walk in the light, God takes care of the rest. 52 00:04:20.200 --> 00:04:25.200 Jesus Christ came to shine the light of his life into us. 53 00:04:25.200 --> 00:04:29.200 That's why being a Christian is not something that we do. 54 00:04:29.200 --> 00:04:33.200 Being a Christian is what he does in us. It's a big difference. 55 00:04:33.200 --> 00:04:40.200 Number three, returning means that Jesus Christ came confronting sin. 56 00:04:40.200 --> 00:04:44.200 That's what this morning's all about. 57 00:04:44.200 --> 00:04:52.200 The cross. Jesus died on the cross to confront sin. 58 00:04:52.200 --> 00:05:05.200 Number four, Jesus Christ came, hallelujah listen, conquering death, conquering death, death, death, death, dead, the numbers of dead, the numbers who have died. 59 00:05:05.200 --> 00:05:08.200 Guess what? I'll probably get censored for this. 60 00:05:08.200 --> 00:05:15.200 I've had physicians tell me we don't know now who and how many have died of what? 61 00:05:15.200 --> 00:05:17.200 All of the records now have been skewed. 62 00:05:17.200 --> 00:05:20.200 And for decades ahead it's going to ruin science. 63 00:05:20.200 --> 00:05:24.200 Did you know that? Because people are registered as having died from COVID. 64 00:05:24.200 --> 00:05:29.200 But what happened was they died by a heart attack, but they might have tested positive. 65 00:05:29.200 --> 00:05:32.200 And so it went down as a COVID death, not a heart attack. 66 00:05:32.200 --> 00:05:37.200 And that drives the cardiologist crazy for future research. 67 00:05:37.200 --> 00:05:41.200 Multiply that a hundred times in all these various things. 68 00:05:41.200 --> 00:05:48.200 What am I saying? All of a sudden that this thing that came upon our land and upon the world has made this announcement. 69 00:05:48.200 --> 00:05:55.200 I wonder if you caught it. All of a sudden the world has declared death is unacceptable. 70 00:05:55.200 --> 00:06:02.200 Right, think about it. You can't take off your mask or go outside until no one dies. 71 00:06:02.200 --> 00:06:04.200 That was one of the comments of Gavin Newsom. 72 00:06:04.200 --> 00:06:10.200 We're not going to lift these restrictions until people stop dying. 73 00:06:10.200 --> 00:06:14.200 Jesus, Gavin, only Jesus can do that. 74 00:06:14.200 --> 00:06:20.200 The answer is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. 75 00:06:20.200 --> 00:06:27.200 Are we all of a sudden so concerned about death that will go to great lengths to prevent it from happening? 76 00:06:27.200 --> 00:06:31.200 You bet. It's the new rule that accept Christ. 77 00:06:31.200 --> 00:06:34.200 Listen, because we're all going to die in this world. 78 00:06:34.200 --> 00:06:38.200 You got to die. You got to die. You got to pay taxes. 79 00:06:38.200 --> 00:06:43.200 And you got to die. And after you die, you're still paying taxes. 80 00:06:43.200 --> 00:06:48.200 Those two things will happen. 100% chance. 81 00:06:48.200 --> 00:06:51.200 But Jesus, listen, Jesus came to break the grave. 82 00:06:51.200 --> 00:06:54.200 It's not the point that we would live again in the flesh. 83 00:06:54.200 --> 00:07:03.200 That's one thing. The fact is he conquer the grave meaning that the grave cannot hold you dead. 84 00:07:03.200 --> 00:07:08.200 Jesus said, if a man dies believing in me, he shall live. 85 00:07:08.200 --> 00:07:10.200 He broke the grave. 86 00:07:10.200 --> 00:07:14.200 Number five, Jesus came defeating hell. Everybody say amen. 87 00:07:14.200 --> 00:07:19.200 He robbed Satan of hell itself. Hell. 88 00:07:19.200 --> 00:07:25.200 The Bible says that hell was created by God for Satan and the fallen angels. 89 00:07:25.200 --> 00:07:29.200 God never said, I'm going to create hell and throw humans in there. 90 00:07:29.200 --> 00:07:33.200 It was all about Satan going to his place. 91 00:07:33.200 --> 00:07:37.200 And those angels, the Bible says, fell with him by pride. 92 00:07:37.200 --> 00:07:40.200 But Jesus came defeating hell. 93 00:07:40.200 --> 00:07:51.200 Revelation chapter two verse eight says these things is the first and the last who was dead and came to life. 94 00:07:51.200 --> 00:07:55.200 Number six, Jesus Christ came preaching love. 95 00:07:55.200 --> 00:08:01.200 This is obvious. I wondered if I should include this, but maybe for some of you you need to hear this. 96 00:08:01.200 --> 00:08:05.200 Jesus Christ came preaching love. 97 00:08:05.200 --> 00:08:12.200 In John 316 and 17, the Bible says, for God so loved the world, you should put your name in there. 98 00:08:12.200 --> 00:08:19.200 That he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever would believe in him would not perish but have everlasting life. 99 00:08:19.200 --> 00:08:27.200 For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. 100 00:08:27.200 --> 00:08:32.200 And it's all about love. Did you know that God loves you? 101 00:08:32.200 --> 00:08:36.200 Here's a big one. Jesus Christ came answering fear. 102 00:08:36.200 --> 00:08:39.200 And Luke 12 32, Jesus said, do not fear. 103 00:08:39.200 --> 00:08:46.200 Little flock, where is your father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom? That is the kingdom of heaven. 104 00:08:46.200 --> 00:08:49.200 Don't be afraid. Don't fear. 105 00:08:49.200 --> 00:08:53.200 People need to hear this now more than ever. Don't fear. Don't fear. 106 00:08:53.200 --> 00:08:58.200 Number eight is mercy. Jesus Christ came extending mercy. 107 00:08:58.200 --> 00:09:03.200 And first Peter, chapter one, verse three, the Bible tells us, blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 108 00:09:03.200 --> 00:09:09.200 who according to his abundant mercy has been gotten us again to a living hope. 109 00:09:09.200 --> 00:09:12.200 What a great power that is. God's mercy. 110 00:09:12.200 --> 00:09:19.200 You have mercy is. Mercy is when you and I deserve to be disciplined or spanked for some transgression. 111 00:09:19.200 --> 00:09:27.200 And God doesn't do that. Mercy is justly bringing it, but chooses not to. 112 00:09:27.200 --> 00:09:32.200 You do know that, right? Mercy. You know, isn't that grace? No, no, no, that's mercy. 113 00:09:32.200 --> 00:09:34.200 That's mercy. 114 00:09:34.200 --> 00:09:37.200 Number nine, Jesus Christ came inviting. 115 00:09:37.200 --> 00:09:42.200 Listen, inviting repentance. Repentance. 116 00:09:42.200 --> 00:09:47.200 Repentance means to change the course. It's a nautical term for saling. 117 00:09:47.200 --> 00:09:50.200 If you don't know, then meaning of the word metanoia. 118 00:09:50.200 --> 00:09:53.200 In the English, the old English is repent. 119 00:09:53.200 --> 00:09:58.200 It means change the course you're on. It's all it means. People get all offended. 120 00:09:58.200 --> 00:10:05.200 I can't believe you said that. I come to the church once a year and I'm only there once and you offends me. 121 00:10:05.200 --> 00:10:13.200 Listen, repentance simply means turn your ship in the opposite direction. It's what it means. 122 00:10:13.200 --> 00:10:19.200 Have you ever heard of the word 180? It's a 180-degree turn. 123 00:10:19.200 --> 00:10:29.200 In the old days, they would say to the ship whether they see rocks ahead and the navigator would yield back to the helmsman. 124 00:10:29.200 --> 00:10:39.200 Repent and the guy would just wheel that wheel around and turn the ship 180 degrees to save it from crashing to the rocks. 125 00:10:40.200 --> 00:10:47.200 In 2 Peter 3 and 9, the Bible says the Lord is not slack concerning his promise as some men count slackness. 126 00:10:47.200 --> 00:10:51.200 Meaning, well, what does the God just judge everything? What does he just fry at all? 127 00:10:51.200 --> 00:11:02.200 Oh, he will, he is. But he's waiting because you might be the only one that's still not right with God, right? 128 00:11:02.200 --> 00:11:07.200 But he's long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 129 00:11:07.200 --> 00:11:13.200 And in Proverbs 28, 13, the Bible says he who covers his sins will not prosper. 130 00:11:13.200 --> 00:11:17.200 Listen, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. 131 00:11:17.200 --> 00:11:24.200 He calls us to repentance. Number 10, Jesus Christ came showing grace. 132 00:11:24.200 --> 00:11:29.200 The Bible tells us to listen up, everybody, because this is human nature. 133 00:11:29.200 --> 00:11:34.200 If I just become good enough, then God will let me into heaven. 134 00:11:34.200 --> 00:11:44.200 Not true, impossible. Why? Ephesians 2.5, 8 and 9 says, 135 00:11:45.200 --> 00:11:52.200 When we were dead and trespasses, he that is Christ made us alive together with Christ for by grace you have been saved, 136 00:11:52.200 --> 00:11:59.200 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, 137 00:11:59.200 --> 00:12:06.200 unless anyone should boast. What does that mean? That means you cannot be good and make it to heaven. 138 00:12:07.200 --> 00:12:16.200 In fact, let's be specific. You gotta be bad to make it to heaven, because the person who's good will defend their goodness, 139 00:12:16.200 --> 00:12:25.200 even against what Jesus did at the cross. A person that's bad knows they're bad, so that when the gospel message comes to them, 140 00:12:25.200 --> 00:12:39.200 they say, yeah, good news, wonderful. God's grace. Number 11, hope, Jesus came announcing hope. 141 00:12:39.200 --> 00:12:49.200 And John chapter 4 verse 13, you know the story, Jesus came to the woman at the well who, according to the rulebook, had no access to the kingdom of God. 142 00:12:50.200 --> 00:12:56.200 You can read it later, there's a little bit of amazing dialogue that takes place there, but to the point verse 13, 143 00:12:56.200 --> 00:13:02.200 Jesus said to her, whoever drinks of the water, this water will thirst again, the water from the well, 144 00:13:02.200 --> 00:13:10.200 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. Jesus is talking about spiritual quenching of the soul, 145 00:13:10.200 --> 00:13:19.200 but the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. 146 00:13:19.200 --> 00:13:27.200 That woman said, Lord, give me the water that you have. And Jesus made it a pointer, the water that I'm gonna give you, 147 00:13:27.200 --> 00:13:35.200 once you have it, you'll never thirst again, not like earthly water. Listen, if you're not a Christian, listen up. 148 00:13:35.200 --> 00:13:42.200 To the real, real believer in Jesus Christ that you might know. Notice how they've stopped searching. 149 00:13:42.200 --> 00:13:53.200 They've stopped trying things. Before you come and meet Jesus, you'll try this. You'll read the Tibetan book of the dead to see if there's enlightenment there. 150 00:13:53.200 --> 00:13:58.200 You'll read the various writings of religious leaders to see if there's an answer there. 151 00:13:58.200 --> 00:14:03.200 And we've all done that to some degree. We'll try this, we'll try that. Maybe we can get meaning and sex, 152 00:14:03.200 --> 00:14:09.200 maybe it can be drugs, I'll have some hallucinogenic journey, and maybe I'll be enlightened. People try stuff all the time, 153 00:14:09.200 --> 00:14:17.200 and then someone comes to Christ and you're satisfied. And your search is over. 154 00:14:17.200 --> 00:14:25.200 Number 12, Jesus came granting righteousness. There's only one form of righteousness that God will accept into heaven, 155 00:14:25.200 --> 00:14:30.200 and that's the righteousness He gives because Jesus paid for it at the cross. 156 00:14:30.200 --> 00:14:37.200 And Romans 10 verse 4, the Bible says, for Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. 157 00:14:37.200 --> 00:14:42.200 The Ten Commandments. As a result, all who believe in Him are made right with God. 158 00:14:42.200 --> 00:14:50.200 Jesus on the cross on Good Friday was answering the demands of the law. The soul that sins it shall surely die. 159 00:14:50.200 --> 00:14:58.200 You say, well, but Jesus didn't sin, that is correct. But I did. And Jesus died in my place. 160 00:14:58.200 --> 00:15:06.200 The moment that that happened, Christ purchased for me righteousness, for you righteousness. 161 00:15:06.200 --> 00:15:14.200 And the Holy Spirit that goes to work in your life, goes to work, calling you, causing you to do righteousness, 162 00:15:14.200 --> 00:15:19.200 which is the right thing. God will do that in your life. 163 00:15:19.200 --> 00:15:25.200 Number 13, Jesus Christ came offering forgiveness. Seems obvious, right? 164 00:15:25.200 --> 00:15:31.200 I'll paraphrase this quickly. It's John chapter 8. You can read it later. I'll just skim over for the details. 165 00:15:31.200 --> 00:15:37.200 But there's a woman. The Bible tells us Jesus has come to Jerusalem. He's ministering. He's preaching. 166 00:15:37.200 --> 00:15:43.200 He's teaching. And the Bible tells us that the Pharisees, the religious leaders, they find a woman. 167 00:15:43.200 --> 00:15:53.200 It's very creepy. It's very creepy because it says that they find a woman who they catch in the very act of adultery, which is creepy. 168 00:15:53.200 --> 00:16:01.200 These are religious leaders. And they're spying on this lady who's peaking in the window. 169 00:16:01.200 --> 00:16:07.200 And they burst in and they grab her. And they said, we caught her in the very act. 170 00:16:07.200 --> 00:16:17.200 They grab her. Think of her shame. They drag her into the streets. And they throw her down at the feet of Jesus. 171 00:16:17.200 --> 00:16:24.200 And they said, Moses says in the law that she should be stoned to death. What do you say? 172 00:16:24.200 --> 00:16:36.200 And the Bible says that Jesus stooped down and began to write in the dirt. And the Bible tells us that they, being convicted, turned and walked away one at a time each. 173 00:16:36.200 --> 00:16:44.200 And it says in scripture that they departed the oldest man departed first and the youngest man departed last. 174 00:16:44.200 --> 00:16:48.200 There's a lot of seriousness going on in that. 175 00:16:48.200 --> 00:17:06.200 He probably stooped down and began to write. He knew their names because he was God. He probably said, Bob, Bob is an embezzler, Fred. 176 00:17:06.200 --> 00:17:18.200 He's a adulterer, Jim out behind 7-11 with bubbles last week. 177 00:17:18.200 --> 00:17:26.200 They were convicted. And Jesus told them, whoever is without sin casts the first on. 178 00:17:26.200 --> 00:17:32.200 Yeah, guys, go ahead and stoner. Whoever's sinless, let's see it. Let's do it. 179 00:17:32.200 --> 00:17:40.200 In the Bible says, the oldest guy left first. Of course, the oldest guy left for you. Longer you live, the more you know how much wrong you've done. 180 00:17:40.200 --> 00:17:49.200 The younger, you know you're done when you're young. You think you're fantastic when you're young. When you're young, you think, I'm never dying. I never sinned. 181 00:17:49.200 --> 00:17:59.200 And I can do anything. I'm wonderful. You know when you're young, but when you're old, it's like yikes. 182 00:17:59.200 --> 00:18:09.200 Amazing. Jesus Christ offers forgiveness. Let me tell you, I'm going to try to wrap this up quick. I've got a minute left. Here's the thing. 183 00:18:09.200 --> 00:18:17.200 You can travel the world, my friend. You're not going to find a better deal than this. What Jesus extends to you, there's not a money back guarantee because it doesn't need to be one. 186 00:18:37.200 --> 00:18:49.200 What he grants to you, what he gives to you? Well, that's just simply the best. 187 00:18:49.200 --> 00:19:01.200 And there's never a recall on it. There's never a need for an upgraded version. 188 00:19:01.200 --> 00:19:19.200 Number 14, Jesus Christ came opening heaven. Oh, my goodness. Heaven's open. Hello. Everything's closed. Heaven's not. Heaven's been closed. It's all been open the whole time. Heaven's been open. 189 00:19:19.200 --> 00:19:39.200 Heaven's essential. And they're great. Everybody doing on earth, what they do. God looks over a cloud. Heaven's open. Just want to let you know. Heaven's open. 190 00:19:39.200 --> 00:19:49.200 Jesus Christ opened heaven. The Bible says announcing to us that those who trust Christ is a great, broad, huge, wide opening to heaven. 191 00:19:49.200 --> 00:19:59.200 If you trust Christ, the answer to that is yes. And then 15, Jesus Christ came loving you. 192 00:19:59.200 --> 00:20:19.200 True biblical theology tells us that God loved me, you personally. Only God can do that. There's not wishful thinking.
